It's a place for discussing all our yesterdays, todays and tomorrows; for listening to music; for reading and writing; for viewing the world through the eyes of artists and the minds of intellectuals. And, all this while enjoying a leisurely cup of coffee as well as, perhaps, a freshly baked croissant, in relaxing and comforting surroundings.

It's my hope Backwoods Bean Coffee Shop can be that place for Sparta and all the other communities throughout Alleghany County.
